Tim Abdallah

National Head of Art, Menzies Art Brands

Timothy Abdallah is a Fine Art specialist with over 20 years’ experience working in auction houses, public museums and commercial galleries in Australia, England, Germany and Italy. He is a graduate of Monash University and has studied Fine Art at the University of Melbourne and privately in London. He is an arts lecturer and has published numerous articles on art. Tim Abdallah is approved to value Australian paintings, sculpture, drawings and prints after 1945 for the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program.

Ian Hamlin

New Zealand-based artist and former President of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, www.ianhamlin.co

Since 1978 Ian has held over 40 solo and many group exhibitions throughout New Zealand and overseas.  His work has also featured in numerous books and publications. Ian’s work is keenly sought after and he is represented in public, private and corporate collections world-wide. He is an elected ‘Artist Member’ and former President of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts. 

Michael Nock

Hong Kong based artist and owner of Art-Lease 

Michael Nock is the owner of the Hong Kong based "Art Lease" business which leases fine art to corporations and offices. He has recently established the NockArt Gallery with the aim of representing Australian and International artists in Hong Kong and has also established the NockArt Foundation. He holds a BFA and an MFA from Calarts where he now sits on the board of trustees. Today he is an active painter and has participated in a number of group exhibitions including the recent painting exhibition "Your Friend the Enemy" at the S. H. Erwin in Sydney. Michael is an award winning animated filmmaker and travels the world pursuing his passion for art.

 

Prizes in Cliftons Art Prize 2017

Cliftons Art Prize is an independently judged competition awarding a local artist AUD$2,000. State and Regional winners were automatically shortlisted for the coveted Cliftons Art Prize. The best creative submission across all Cliftons venues will win the overall Cliftons Art Prize for 2017, receiving AUD$10,000.

The winning artworks from each state and region, as well as the piece of art awarded the Cliftons Art Prize will be acquired by Cliftons for permanent display in Cliftons facilities. All artworks are enjoyed by students, trainers, facilitators, staff and clients. The prize money is remuneration for all winning artworks.
